Job description

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Local Driver/ Operator's to join their safety conscious team! We are looking for a LOCAL to Fort McMurray candidate that has experience in oilfield, industrial or construction who is able to operate a vac truck.

This is a Union Local 362 Teamsters position, with a field rate of $38.81/hour.

This is a 7/7 rotation, 10-hour days. The candidate will work one rotation on days then next rotation will be on nights.

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Safely drive equipment to and from work sites and operate units while on site;
  • Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to a Clean Harbors or 3rd party disposal facility;
  • Maintain and build client relations by providing high levels of customer service;
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis, such as pre/post trip inspection reports and field level risk assessments.
  • Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License (18 speed manual transmission) required;
  • MUST BE LOCAL TO FORT MCMURRAY
  • Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO/CSTS certificates (training can be provided & will be required to provide proof prior to first day);
  • Experience Hot Loading & working with hot fluids an asset;
  • Oilfield, industrial or construction experience is an asset;
  • Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience an asset;
  • Previous experience in a labour-intensive role;
  • Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout shift;
  • Willing to work 10–12-hour shifts;
  • Ability to work night shifts;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
