Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving operational excellence? Our client, a well-established and growing business in Calgary, is seeking a General Manager of Operations to oversee and optimize their concrete production, logistics, and broader construction operations.
In this pivotal role, you will bring 10–15 years of industry experience, proven leadership abilities, and expertise in fleet management, logistics, and construction processes. You’ll collaborate with multiple divisions to ensure seamless workflow, operational efficiency, and exceptional results.
Working closely with the CEO and senior management, this role requires a proactive mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and innovative thinking to adapt to the dynamic demands of the industry. If you’re a collaborative leader with a track record of success, we want to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with the CEO/President to execute strategic goals.
- Oversee fleet management, quality control, and ready-mix operations, including pump/place and flatwork services.
- Coordinate logistics, fleet management, and production processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure quality control standards are met for concrete production and related processes.
- Drive collaboration across divisions and stakeholders to optimize workflows and meet project deadlines.
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement in processes and operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Education:
- Relevant post-secondary education in business management, construction, or a related field is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong understanding of concrete production, fleet logistics, and construction practices.
Experience:
- 10–15 years of industry experience in concrete production, and/or relevant construction operations.
- Proven track record of leadership and managing multiple divisions or departments.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and processes in the construction industry.
Skills:
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
- Organizational Expertise: Highly skilled in managing workflows, logistics, and operations across multiple divisions.
- Interpersonal Communication: Exceptional ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Innovative and agile approach to solving complex challenges.
- Quality Focus: Deep understanding of quality control processes and requirements.
Base Salary: $120,000 – 150,000 per year
- Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
