Job description

Greens – Golf Course Maintenance

Are you the outdoors type and enjoy being outside and active regardless of weather? We are seeking strong, energetic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our Golf Course Maintenance department at Lora Bay Golf Club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up the golf course for daily play
  • Perform general mowing with specialized handheld equipment
  • Maintain all bunkers, including raking, edging, and minor construction; maintain other hazards such as water features
  • Repair wear and tear caused by golfers and animals
  • Address drainage issues
  • Remove early morning dew and debris from all playing surfaces
  • Repair divots and edge irrigation heads
  • Prepare ground and establish turf
  • Assist with course projects such as sodding, drainage, and tree work
  • Participate in cultural practices as needed
  • Maintain golf course furniture
  • Communicate effectively and keep management informed
  • Understand roles and responsibilities
  • Opportunity to learn to operate other equipment during summer months
  • Use of hand tools including lawn mowers, rakes, and shovels
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Detail-oriented
  • Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to work in changing weather conditions
  • Experience in golf or landscaping is an asset but not essential
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment is an asset but not essential
  • High regard for health and safety for self and others

Hourly wages will be determined based on previous experience.
