Job description

We are currently seeking a Director of Individual Insurance to serve the Eastern Quebec territory.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President Sales, Individual Insurance Quebec, the Director of Individual Insurance will be responsible for:

  • Providing case consultation and product marketing support to select advisors and intermediaries in the territory to drive sales of individual life and living benefit insurance

Position Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage relationships with key advisors and intermediaries
  • Assist in resolving problems with intermediaries and clients within the region
  • Identify opportunities for profitable business growth
  • Develop and implement business development plans
  • Conduct dynamic sales meetings and seminars
  • Contribute to strategies that enhance marketing support and generate new sales ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual in French and English to support clients across jurisdictions outside Quebec
  • Knowledge of personal and corporate taxation and financial planning
  • Relevant professional designations (e.g., CLU, CFP, CH.F.C.) or working towards them
  • Previous industry sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of regulatory issues affecting life insurance sales
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts and product applications
  • Knowledge of competitive positioning
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
