Job description

Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding the hourly associates in the day-to-day procedures to best drive the store objectives.

Key Accountabilities :

  1. Guide the daily operations of the store and activities of hourly associates to accomplish excellent customer service and maximize sales, in conjunction with or in the absence of management staff.
  2. Provide positive reinforcement to hourly associates to promote high momentum and achieve staff growth and results.
  3. Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions for Sales Associates on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
  4. Assist with documentation related to applicants and new hires.
  5. Help display merchandise such as clothes, footwear, and accessories to attract customers and promote sales.
  6. Utilize customer service and training tools to develop staff in line with division goals.
  7. Originate or follow store display schedules and suggestions to enhance visual merchandising.
  8. Assist with staffing, labor cost control, and maintain standards.
  9. Achieve proficiency with the point of sale system; ensure policy compliance and transaction accuracy.
  10. Perform sales transactions involving cash, credit, and checks.
  11. Assist with product ticketing, receiving documentation, and product flow from stockroom to sales floor.
  12. Monitor and maintain sales floor fill-in processes and communicate product levels with management.
  13. Report on project progress such as floor change outs, shipment processing, and markdown setups.
  14. Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, and related duties to support staff coverage and lead by example.
  15. Manage store up-keeping duties and respond to customer complaints to promote positive relations.
  16. Ensure high levels of adidas customer service and employ selling techniques to meet sales goals, training others as needed.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Exhibit competencies relevant to the position.
  • Apply common sense to follow instructions in various formats.
  • Handle problems involving multiple variables in standard situations.
  • Use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS system proficiently.
  • Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Perform basic math operations.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime during peak periods.
  • Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting up to 12 kg regularly and up to 34 kg occasionally.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED, or pursuing one.
  • Retail experience preferred, 3-6 months.
