Cashier

Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for completing sales transactions and supporting activities such as cleaning, stocking, and assisting with inventory. This is a non-exempt position, reporting to management.

Essential Functions:

1. Operate a cash register, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and follow all cash handling policies.
2. Maintain knowledge of products and services.
3. Clean and stock the work area.
4. Assist in reconciling transactions and operate electronic data processing equipment.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to interact positively with the public and coworkers.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, stand, and lift objects over 10 lbs.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand instructions.
