Description of Company:

Focusing on landscape architecture and urban design, this award-winning Toronto-based firm balances the creativity of its staff with the needs of its clients. They are a young office with a strong focus on good design, collaboration, and doing good work.

Why This Role is Open:

This firm is looking to add an experienced landscape design professional who is capable of managing aspects of projects associated with design oversight, coordination and delegation, and the supervision and participation on construction drawings and contract administration.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage design.
  2. Coordination with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction process.
  3. Create and conduct presentations.
  4. Contribute to drawing sets and image content using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Illustrator.
  5. Collaborate with and provide direction to junior staff.
  6. Create budgets and schedules according to project needs.

Must Haves:

  1. 5+ years experience in public or private realm landscape projects.
  2. Strong ability to prioritize tasks.
  3. Strong AutoCAD skills.
  4. Professional degree in Landscape architecture or related industry.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. Strong design sensibilities and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to use rendering softwares like SketchUp or Lumion.
  3. Ability to manage a team.
