Description

Hi there, we’re Article. We’re an online furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. As a Junior Category Manager, you’ll support defining the catalog vision, strategy, and assortment offerings.

You will collaborate closely with Product Design & Development, Marketing, Ecomm, Creative, and Sourcing teams to build a successful product assortment that supports Article’s financial objectives and meets customer needs.

We need someone with 2+ years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, or Category Management. You’ll help shape the impact of the Category function on Article and our customers, while broadening your skills. You should have an Ownership Mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a resilient attitude.

About The Team

Our team is hybrid, working in-office 3 days a week: Tuesday-Thursday.

What You’ll Do
Catalog & Assortment Strategy
  • Act as the category SME with understanding of consumer trends, the market, and the Article customer.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the category line plan to meet company priorities.
  • Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, and Planning teams from analysis to recommendation.
  • Define pricing architecture to maximize sales and profitability.
In-Season Management
  • Work with the Category Manager to meet revenue targets, monitor business results, and react accordingly.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure quality and value delivery.
  • Manage product lifecycle through sales, promotions, and exits.
  • Communicate category vision to stakeholders to guide marketing and sales.
  • Tools used include G Suite and Slack; work with Mac or PC devices.
Who You Are
  • 2+ years in merchandising, buying, or category management.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
  • Self-driven with minimal supervision.
  • Strong relationship skills with factories, customers, and colleagues.
  • Good market sense; passion for furniture, interior design, and décor is a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Completion of criminal background check.
Travel
  • 1-2 international trips per year.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000, starting based on skills and experience.
