Ontario One Call acts as the communications link between buried infrastructure owners (our members) and individuals planning to dig in Ontario. Established in 2012 under the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, we ensure that anyone in Ontario contacts Ontario One Call before digging. We also handle public education, industry outreach, and compliance.
As a Public Safety Authority, Ontario One Call aims to improve construction, infrastructure, and excavation industries across Ontario. We are a not-for-profit governed by a Board of Directors representing the underground infrastructure and excavation sectors.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Manager will develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners and stakeholders, supporting our mission as a public safety authority. This includes leading efforts to engage stakeholders in excavation and damage prevention, such as excavators, utilities, municipalities, regulators, and locate service providers. The role also involves leading educational initiatives to promote safe digging practices across Ontario.
The role manages a team of stakeholder relations and industry education professionals. Travel within Ontario is expected according to an agreed plan. The position is based at our Guelph office (104 Cooper Drive, Guelph, ON) with a hybrid work model.
