Job description

Venor has partnered with Charm Diamond Centres, the largest Canadian-owned and operated jewellery chain, in their search for an experienced, detail-oriented, and strategic E-Commerce & Webstore Manager to lead and optimize their online retail presence. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of our e-commerce operations across multiple branded websites, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a knack for project management and strong digital expertise, commercial acumen, and passion for delivering seamless, engaging, and profitable online shopping experiences.

About the Role

As the E-Commerce & Webstore Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of three active web stores and a central umbrella site. You will collaborate across departments – including marketing, operations, IT, and buying teams – to enhance performance, implement strategic improvements, and ensure our e-commerce platforms meet both customer expectations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Customer Experience Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and user experience across the four websites.
  • Work with internal departments and third-party organizations to implement design and functionality updates to improve UX and increase conversions.
  • Coordinate technical changes, working with internal teams and third-party developers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and review digital campaigns, SEO strategies, and conversion optimization initiatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on traffic, user behaviour, and sales data.
  • Analyze cart abandonment and implement incentive-driven solutions to increase recovery.

Operational Oversight

  • Project manage fulfillment processes and customer service workflows to ensure timely, efficient delivery and support.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders (security, IT, logistics) to support secure and smooth operations.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Monitor and manage e-commerce-related costs, including development and platform tools.
  • Contribute to financial planning and provide input on return-on-investment analysis for website initiatives.
  • Evaluate competitor platforms to identify trends, new features, and areas for differentiation.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives to expand or enhance online presence.

Candidate Profile
  • A University Degree
  • 5+ years in this space
  • Retail experience isn’t required, but is considered a strong asset
  • Proven experience in retail e-commerce or digital operations
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Competent in digital marketing concepts, including SEO, CRO, and analytics
  • Ability to manage budgets, review marketing performance, and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across departments
  • Highly analytical and proactive, with a track record of executing ideas and delivering results
  • Proven experience in retail e-commerce or digital operations
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • An MBA is not required, but it is an asset
