About Us

BlackToe Running is Canada’s leading run-specialty retailer, combining best-in-class footwear, apparel, and community-driven events with a premium e-commerce experience. With stores in Toronto and Ottawa (soon!) and a rapidly growing online business, we’re looking for a smart, strategic, and hands-on E-commerce Performance Manager to help take our digital performance to the next level.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a mid-level E-Commerce Performance Manager who is laser-focused on driving and optimizing website revenue. In this role, you will own the analysis and execution of the entire digital marketing funnel and customer experience—constantly searching for ways to increase traffic, maximize conversions, raise average order value, and eliminate lost opportunities (such as missed cross-sell or upsell chances). While you won’t directly manage our tech stack, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across marketing, buying, tech, and design to ensure every touchpoint is optimized for revenue.

You’ll be our in-house champion for e-commerce revenue performance—eager to leverage AI tools to scale execution, analyze performance, and improve creative workflows. This role is perfect for someone who is data-informed, user-obsessed, and passionate about using modern tools to streamline operations and maximize impact.

Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite & UX Optimization

  • Manage day-to-day performance of our Shopify Plus storefront
  • Continuously improve UX/UI across devices using data, testing, and customer feedback, documenting and sharing best practices with the broader team
  • Ensure the website consistently adheres to all applicable compliance, privacy, and accessibility standards
  • Collaborate across teams to flag and fix website bottlenecks, abandoned cart trends, and other conversion barriers
  • Oversee landing pages, site structure, collections, and homepage refreshes
  • Collaborate with internal and external dev/design teams to implement UX improvements and A/B tests
  • Spot and flag site issues or technical needs, communicating them to technical stakeholders for prioritization
  • Leverage AI-based tools to improve workflow and content management

Performance Marketing

  • Build and execute digital campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) to drive traffic and sales
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns based on ROAS, CAC, CTR, and other key metrics to generate actionable revenue insights for both site and campaign enhancements
  • Play a key role in driving results by turning our e-commerce marketing ideas into action: execute initiatives such as website updates and digital promotions, as directed by Marketing and Communications team
  • Use AI tools for audience segmentation, creative testing, and efficiency gains where appropriate
  • Drive and continually optimize digital marketing funnel performance (from acquisition through repeat purchase)
  • Conduct and report A/B tests and other experiments aimed at boasting conversions and average order value

E-Commerce Merchandising & Operations

  • Be the centre-point for how our cross functional team creates customer experiences in a consistent way
  • Partner with Purchasing Specialist and Marketing to ensure timely execution of product launches and promotions
  • Maintain the product catalogue and improve site merchandising with a focus on high-margin items, seasonal collections, and conversion optimization.
  • Analyze revenue leaks and proactively recommend and execute solutions—e.g., enhancing merchandising, cross-sells, and promotions
  • Monitor performance using GA4, Shopify analytics, and other insight tools

Who You Are

  • 3-5 experience in e-commerce, DTC, or performance marketing roles
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with:

-Shopify Plus (storefront management, product launches, merchandising)

-Paid media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok Ads)

-Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other analytics/reporting tools

-Klaviyo (flows, segmentation, campaign strategy)

-Common CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) and A/B testing tools

  • Proven ability to increase revenue through conversion optimization, funnel management, and campaign performance
  • Strong grasp of UX/UI Principles and applying data, testing, and feedback to digital journeys across devices with an eye for good design
  • Analytical mindset: able to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and generate actionable recommendations
  • Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and results-driven
  • Fluency with AI-Power tools for content creation, audience segmentation, performance analysis, and workflow automation is a plus.
  • Passionate about running, fitness, or outdoor lifestyle (bonus!)

Why Join Us?

  • Help lead digital growth at one of Canada’s most respected and fastest growing run-specialty brands
  • Join a passionate, community-first team with a national reach
  • Competitive salary, great team environment, and access to exclusive product drops and events
  • Opportunity to shape a fast-growing Ecommerce channel with modern tools and support
  • Opportunity for some remote work but working in our offices will be required at least 3 days per week.
