Job summary

Intact Lab is seeking a Manager, Design – E-commerce to lead a team of product designers, shaping intuitive, user-centered shopping experiences for Canadians from quote to purchase. You’ll drive the design process across research, ideation, and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

The role requires 8+ years in design strategy and 3+ years in people leadership, with a mobile-first portfolio and strong UX/UI sensibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in strategy, design and/or digital.
• 3+ years of experience managing professionals, including managers.
• Proven experience designing mobile-first e-commerce customer journeys.
• Strong experimentation culture with A/B testing and continuous improvement.
• Experience with user research methodologies and applying insights to inform design.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in design.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in user-centric design.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction to a team of product designers on user-centered design practices.
• Oversee creation and development of user-centric e-commerce experiences.
• Re-imagine business processes to maximize value from design practice.
• Foster an experimentation culture with KPIs and performance tracking.
• Lead and manage the design team and their performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities.
• Keep abreast of AI developments to inform design strategies.
• Champion user feedback in the product-design process.
• Set priorities and build short/long-term product roadmaps.
• Measure and report on business value of design initiatives.
