DZ Tow Truck Driver Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated DZ Tow Truck Driver to join our team in Newmarket, ON. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automobiles, enjoy hands-on work, and providing exceptional customer service.

What you’re responsible for:

  1. Safely transporting customers' vehicles from point of pick up to the branch
  2. Maintain accurate records of towing assignments, including vehicle information, pick-up and drop-off locations, and any special instructions
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tow truck and equipment to ensure safe operation
  4. Performing laboring tasks that may include depollution, tire dismounting, etc.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to coordinate towing activities
  6. Providing our customers with excellent customer service!

To join our team:

  1. Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driving abstract and CVOR
  2. Valid Tow Driver certification
  3. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a tow truck driver or in a similar role
  4. Knowledge of towing laws, regulations, and safety procedures
  5. Ability to operate and maneuver a tow truck safely in various road and weather conditions
  6. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
