Job Description

The Vacuum Truck Operator will report directly to Nanticoke, ON. Work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services include (but are not limited to): confined space entry, spill cleanup, power washing, and loading and hauling of various fluids/materials. The individual will perform these activities with a focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting
  2. Follow company policies, procedures, and on-site requirements
  3. Provide exceptional service to clients and professionally represent GFL
  4. Complete daily equipment pre-trips and driver logs for NSC compliance, GEOTAB
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  6. Demonstrate commitment to environmental compliance
  7. Participate in safety programs such as meetings, near miss reporting, and hazard assessments
  8. Work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate well
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  1. DZ driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  2. Excellent customer service and communication skills
  3. Safety-focused attitude with industrial experience
  4. Cleanliness and organizational skills
  5. Good health and physical condition
  6. Willingness to travel short-term and stay overnight if required
  7. Unionized environment (Teamsters)
  8. Overtime after 37.5 hours
