Qualifications

  • Gültiger DZ-Führerschein erforderlich.
  • Mindestens 2 Jahre Fahrpraxis, vorzugsweise im Kraftstofftransport.

Job Description
As a DZ Fuel Driver for New North Fuels, a Marketer for Suncor (Petro-Canada) in Northern Ontario, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  2. Perform fuel deliveries to various customer locations, including gas stations, businesses, and residential areas.
  3. Accurately measure and record fuel quantities delivered to each customer.
  4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in proper working condition.
  5. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
  6. Assist in loading and unloading fuel at terminals and customer sites.
  7. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials under safety regulations.
  8. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
  9. Respond promptly to emergency calls and unscheduled deliveries as needed.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, including proper storage of equipment and supplies.
  11. Participate in ongoing safety training and stay updated on industry best practices.
  12. Report any safety concerns, vehicle issues, or customer complaints to management.
  13. Assist in route planning and optimization to ensure efficient fuel deliveries.
  14. Collect payments and process transactions when required.
  15. Represent New North Fuels and Suncor (Petro-Canada) professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid DZ license.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
  • Must provide a recent driver abstract and CVOR reports.
  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in fuel delivery or a similar industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification required.
  • Knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.

Additional Information

  • We cover the following costs: Criminal Record Check and two reference checks.
  • Site deliveries may require pre-access Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • Basic computer skills for using electronic logging devices and communication systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and follow routing instructions.

We offer an excellent starting wage of $28.00 an hour, increasing to $29.00 after 3 months, and $30.00 after 12 months, along with benefits, uniforms, profit sharing, etc. Please forward your resume to jobs@newnorthfuels.com.
