Job summary

Miller Waste Systems is seeking a DZ Driver/Picker in Pembroke, Ontario. This permanent full-time role starts immediately and involves the safe collection of residential waste streams, with yard waste, recycling, and garbage.

Qualifications

Valid DZ Driver’s Licence.
Clean driving abstract; no preventable accidents in past year.
Minimum 1 year experience on each type of equipment is an asset.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule flexibility; Saturdays, weekends and holidays may be required.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for various residential waste streams.
May include Yard Waste, Blue Box/Green Bin, and Residential Garbage collections.
Provide reliable customer service for proper waste disposal.
Adhere to collection/delivery schedule for local transfer stations/landfills.
Follow safety policies and municipal regulations.
Interact with customers and community while maintaining professionalism.
Lift and load bags/cans up to 50 lbs into the vehicle hopper or side loader.
Make in excess of 800 residential stops per day.
