Qualifications

DZ Driver (Full Time) - Ottawa, ON
Responsibilities:
  1. Load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
  2. Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations
  3. Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
  4. Complete shipping orders and related paperwork
  5. Complete trip reports, fuel tickets and other necessary reports
  6. Conduct pre and post trip inspections noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
  7. Identify need for repairs and/or maintenance to vehicles and is accountable to ensure the maintenance or repairs are conducted with a minimum of disruption to the operation.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 2 years of AZ/ DZ driving experience
  2. Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Driver's License with air brake endorsement
  3. Ability to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
Assets:
  1. Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling
  2. Mechanical aptitude
  3. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  4. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
