Job summary

Waste Connections of Canada is seeking a DZ Driver for local route pickups of solid waste from commercial customers. You will operate a garbage truck, use tablet-based dispatch and perform routine vehicle inspections on a daily schedule.

Qualified candidates have a valid DZ license, a clean driving record and at least 2 years of local route experience; ability to pass pre-employment checks is required. The role offers benefits after 90 days and potential long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Having professional and courteous interactions with customers as needed.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

As a DZ Driver with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Safelyoperating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste from commercial customers
• Using electronic equipment to service each customer identified on the provided tablets as assigned by the dispatcher.
• Performing routine pre and post route inspections on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Having professional and courteousinteractions with our customers when needed.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

What We Need From You:

• Valid DZ license
• Clean driving record
• 2+ years of local route driving experience ( City driving in high risk zones preferred)
