Job summary

Bay Converting Inc. in London, Ontario, is seeking a Driver to deliver insulation products to job sites, with loading and unloading responsibilities and some warehouse duties.

You will perform daily pre‑trip inspections, maintain equipment, complete paperwork, and ensure COD charges are collected where required, while upholding safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• DZ Driver’s License is required.
• Three years of experience driving a straight truck.
• Maintain valid license and driving record as per policy and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive to deliver material and load/unload within a pre-determined schedule.
• Maintain truck, perform daily pre-trip inspections, and minor maintenance as needed.
• Complete daily logs and inspection forms using an ELD.
• Process paperwork including tickets, bills of lading, and receipts; collect COD charges when specified.
• Report issues to Plant Manager and perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Driver is responsible for delivery of insulation products and requires unloading and loading of product to the scheduled job sites in a timely manner. Some warehouse work is required, as needed. Customer service with customers is essential in this position when delivering material to job sites and customer offices. Safe driving is required within regulations and Corporate Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Driving to deliver material and the loading and unloading of material within a pre‑determined driving schedule.
• Maintains truck, performs daily pre‑trip inspections, and provides minor maintenance on truck, as needed. Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues that need to be repaired to the Plant Manager.
• As required, completes daily logs according to the rules and regulations set forth. Pre‑inspection forms using an ELD are filled out daily.
• Processes paperwork including, but not limited to tickets, bills of lading, fuel receipts, trip reports, etc., making sure the customer signs the receipt of material and collecting on COD charges when specified.
• Reports back to Plant Manager any issues that were addressed at the job site for response back to the customer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current DZ Driver’s License, required.
• Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Three years of experience driving a straight truck, required.
• Valid driver’s license to be maintained at all times in compliance with company policy and government regulations, required.
• As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
