Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• CGRN certification and CSGNA membership preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of endoscopic procedures experience including EUS, colonoscopy and ERCP.
• Strong candidates with 1 year of CCU/OR/IR experience may be considered.
• Health assessment course is preferred.
• IV certification is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other professions in a team.
• Proven planning, time management, organization and coordination skills.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidence-based, patient-centered care in line with standards.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with the patient.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate activities.
• Document observations and care provision.
• Contribute to discharge and transition planning.
• Participate in hospital committees and groups.
