Job summary

Plan Group, Inc. in Vaughan, Canada is seeking a Project Manager, Mechanical Construction to lead electrical projects on-time and within budget.

You will build strong relationships with clients, GCs and engineers while promoting safety and efficiency. This role requires a Mechanical Engineering background with at least five years PM experience in commercial/institutional settings; familiarity with Estimating software and scheduling tools is an asset.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education or related field
• Minimum of five years construction project management experience
• Experience managing electrical commercial and institutional projects
• Knowledge of Estimating software such as Accubid Change Order; scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera)

Responsibilities

• Establish and achieve project targets and milestones for electrical projects
• Provide active leadership in Health and Safety
• Monitor and report progress, forecasts, and cost controls against the project schedule
• Identify and escalate potential problems or schedule delays
• Lead pre-job planning including kickoff meetings and subcontractor selection
• Manage document control, change order process, and coordination of deliveries
