Job summary

S.Sidhu Trucking LTD. in Surrey, BC is hiring a truck driver to load and unload goods and transport them to destinations. This on-site role requires safe, punctual driving and careful attention to vehicle condition.

You will perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, carry out brake adjustments, and relay information to central dispatch to ensure cargo is secured and deliveries stay on schedule. Experience is an asset, and employer-sponsored learning or training may be provided to

• Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience an asset.

• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
