Job description

Job Type: Part-Time

Starting Salary: Cashier $17.69/hr; Cage & Coin Supervisor $25.10/hr

The position requires a self-motivated leader responsible for mentoring staff and fostering teamwork and open communication. We seek an experienced professional with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. You will oversee all cage operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate departmental data and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • In the Cage & Coin Cashier:
    • Minimum six months cash-handling experience
    • Ability to add, multiply, and balance floats and spreadsheets
    • Training available within 30 days (Alberta)
    • Ability to obtain registration with BCLC, AGLC, or AGCO
    • Physical ability to lift and transport objects and stand for long periods
    • Manual dexterity for handling cash, tickets, and chips
    • Friendly, polite, patient, courteous demeanor
    • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends
  • In the Cage & Coin Supervisor:
    • Oversee and direct cage operations
    • Manage casino float and ensure transaction accuracy and security
    • Supervise staff, provide training, and conduct performance reviews
    • Manage schedules, shift reports, and internal documentation
    • Perform audits and reconcile accounts and inventories
    • Prepare gaming and promotional cheques
    • Oversee ticket redemption and other duties in supervisor absence

What You Bring

  • Two years supervisory cash handling experience
  • Experience as a casino cashier supervisor is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Manual dexterity and ability to operate casino equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and obtain necessary registrations
