Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 per hour, DOE (Full pay scale is $16-$22)

Looking for a career that matters? At Horizon Project, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the heart of our residential programs—supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) right where they live. As a DSP, you’ll help create a safe, caring, and engaging home environment where individuals thrive. From assisting with daily routines to encouraging hobbies, meaningful activities, and community involvement, you’ll empower the people we serve to live joyful, independent lives. If you’re compassionate, reliable, and ready to make a lasting difference in someone’s life (and your own), we’d love to have you on our team.

Job Duties (Full description provided during interview stage):

  • Give clients their daily medication
  • Maintain a clean and safe home for the clients
  • Provide individualized care that is unique to each client's needs
  • Track client financials and household accounts
  • Help the client bathe and go to the bathroom
  • Assist with cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Use a computer to complete daily client documentation
  • Go with clients on outings to the store, museum, library, county fair, or music concerts

Schedule (open shifts may vary based on location):

  • Option for day shift, swing shift, or graveyard shift
  • Consistent schedule every week
  • opportunities for overtime (not mandatory)
  • +$1 per hour for working on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday
  • 1.5x pay for working on a holiday

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass a background check (renewed every 2 years)
  • Must pass a drug test
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and spoken)
