Job description

Wage Rate and Hours: $31.00 per hour, 40 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Location: Various locations across Winnipeg, MB

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school is required

Experience: 1-2 years relevant experience or 1-2 years apprenticeship program is required

Job Duties:

1. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
2. Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
3. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
4. Protect exterior corners by cutting and installing metal corner beads
5. Use trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
6. Use tape machine to tape over joints and embed tape in compound
7. Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
8. Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required
