We have an immediate opening for a Full-time Drywaller/Painter position at DKI-Pro Pacific’s Nanaimo location. View details and apply below.

ProPacific Restoration DKI specializes in disaster remediation services. When customers experience a fire, flood or other natural disaster, they can count on us to respond 24/7/365 to help them recover and get things back to normal.

With branch locations across Vancouver Island, including Duncan, Nanaimo and Victoria, we are always on the lookout for new talent.

We currently have an immediate vacancy at our Nanaimo location.

What we will expect you to do:

  1. Respond to clients’ homes that have just had a fire, flood or other natural disaster. Restore/repair property, providing quality work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  2. Tasks include, but are not limited to: drywall (board, tape & finish), insulation, painting and more.
  3. Demolition: removing affected drywall or flooring and disposing appropriately.
  4. Assisting with moving clients' personal belongings out for cleaning, and returning them when complete.
  5. Moving and placing drying equipment & machinery. Some equipment can weigh up to 50 - 80lbs.
  6. Take direction from the Project Manager, Operations Manager and Team leads.
  7. Be able to participate in the on-call rotation (this may include after-hours call outs on evenings & weekends).

What you will bring:

  1. Evidence of restoration / handyperson experience.
  2. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
  3. The ability to use and maintain all relevant tools and equipment.
  4. Able to quickly and accurately identify and estimate the quantity of materials required.
  5. Good problem-solving skills.

Compensation: $30.00 to $35.00 an hour

Candidates are required to have a valid Class 5 driver's license. We will request a copy of your driver's abstract upon hire.

Candidates will undergo a Canadian Criminal Record check.
