Job summary

Majha Constructions Inc. is seeking a drywall installer to work on site in Winnipeg, MB. The role requires 7 months to 1 year of experience, a secondary school graduation certificate, and the ability to work at heights on scaffolding.

You will supervise 1–2 workers and handle ceiling grids, joint compounds, and drywall installation at multiple locations. This full-time permanent position offers flexible hours and starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 months to 1 year of construction or drywall experience.
• Must be able to work at heights and on scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 1–2 workers on job sites.
• Apply successive coats of joint compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical ceilings.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets and secure to studs.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
