Job summary

Job Bank in Canada is seeking a skilled plasterer/drywall installer to join our construction team at a fixed location. You will apply coats of plaster, sand seams, and install drywall sheets and ceilings. The ideal candidate has 1 year to less than 2 years experience, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to work at the physical site.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
