Drywall Finisher

Location: Kelowna, BC

Salary: $37.00 per hour, 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time, Starts as soon as possible, 2 vacancies

Responsibilities

1. Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
2. Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
3. Clean and prepare surfaces
4. Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
5. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
6. Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
7. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
8. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
9. Cut openings in lath for piping, ducts, and electrical outlets

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments
• Work at various locations
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads up to 13.5 kg
• Flexibility and reliability

Additional Information

• Work must be completed on-site; remote work is not available
• Security clearance: Bondable
