Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Dry Utilities Project Manager for a major GO Transit project in Oshawa, Ontario. You will report to the Construction Manager, lead a team of professionals, and oversee utility relocation, safety, and stakeholder relations.

Ideal candidates will have 8-10+ years in utility construction, a civil engineering background, and strong contract management skills. The role requires coordinating interface works and ensuring compliance with railway regulations on-site.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of utility construction experience in a senior supervision or project management role
• Professional Engineer license in Ontario is an asset
• Experience with third party utility companies and design recommendations
• Experience with Design-Build or Collaborative Contracts is an asset
• Excellent contract and project management, planning and scheduling skills
• Strong communication and cooperation with stakeholders
• Valid provincial driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Oversee dry utility relocation scope, risk, budget and execution
• Manage project progress and analyze current/future work activities
• Coordinate interface works for relocation and stakeholder management
• Develop quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and scope for dry utilities
• Oversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, and safety
• Ensure safety compliance and implement improvements to mitigate risks
• Integrate design, environmental assessments, and community commitments into plans
• Liaise with designers, technical teams, and clients on technical aspects
• Analyze project designs and technical reports
• Maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and vendors; lead site meetings
• Ensure adherence to railway operating rules and regulations
• Manage RFIs and issue field instructions
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports
