Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Vernon is seeking a casual Cash Handling Associate to retrieve, sort, count and reconcile daily cash and coin receipts from various areas, preparing deposits securely and accurately for daily revenues.

You will operate cash/coin counting machines, assist in float prep, and document processes in a fast-paced environment. Gateway offers benefits, training and a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls: collects cash/ticket cassettes and replaces with empty ones.
• Performs table games drop pulls: collects cash or poker-chip drop boxes and replaces with empty ones.
• Participates in float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines, ATMs and NRTs.
• Counts and reconciles monies from slot machines, table games and vending machines.
• Prepares daily deposits for slots, lotteries, food/beverage and table games as applicable.
• Verifies and reconciles money delivered from banks or vending machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls: collects cash/ticket cassettes from all electronic gaming machines and, where applicable, replaces with empty cash/ticket cassettes.
• Performs table games drop pulls: collects cash or poker-chip drop boxes from all table games and, where applicable, replaces with empty drop boxes.
• Participates in the float preparation, loading and unloading of ticket redemption machines and, where applicable, ATMs and NRTs.
• Performs Pull Tab machine, Keno machine, and vending machine cash and coin collections.(at applicable sites)
• Counts and reconciles monies collected from slot machines, poker tables, and, where applicable, table games Pull Tab machines, Keno machines and vending machines.
• Prepares daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries, Food and Beverage and Table Games (as applicable).
• Verifies and reconciles money delivered from the bank or a vending machine company.
• Prepares cash and coin floats for specific stations (e.g. Food and Beverage; Guest Services).
• Replenishes Pull Tab machines. (at applicable sites)Ensures and documents proper Machine Maintenance.
