Job summary

Gateway Casinos in Kamloops is seeking a Count Team Member to accurately retrieve, sort, count, and reconcile daily monetary receipts and deposits. Cash-handling experience and math precision are highly beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of cash handling experience
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible hours, including weekends
• Ability to add and multiply numbers accurately
• Dexterity to handle money, tickets and poker chips with care
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs
• Eligibility to obtain BCLC/IGCO registration
• Team player in a small, secure office environment

Responsibilities

• Collect cash/ticket cassettes from electronic gaming machines and monies from table game drop boxes.
• Assist with float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines.
• Count and confirm monies from slot machines, poker tables and vending machines.
• Prepare daily deposits for slots, lotteries, food and beverage, and table games.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect cash/ticket cassettes from electronic gaming machines and monies from table game drop boxes.
• Participate in the float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines.
• Count and confirms monies collected from slot machines, poker tables, and vending machines.
• Prepare daily deposits for slots, lotteries, food and beverage, and table games.

What You Bring

• A self-motivated learner who enjoys mastering tasks accurately.
• Eager to learn, is precise with numbers and likes focussing on the details.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Enjoys working flexible hours, including weekends.
• Minimum six months of experience handling cash and an ability to add and multiply.
• Strong manual dexterity to accurately handle money, tickets, and poker chips.
• Ability to stand for long periods and pull, lift, and carry objects up to 35 lbs and push/pull a heavy cart.
• The ability to obtain registration with either the BCLC/IGCO
• Are comfortable working with a team in a small and secure office.
