Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Vernon, BC is seeking a casual cash-handler to retrieve, sort, count, and reconcile daily cash and coin receipts from the gaming floor, and prepare deposits for daily revenues in a secure, accurate manner.

You will operate cash/counting machines, support float preparation, and verify money delivered from vendors, with attention to accuracy, speed, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls: collects cash/ticket cassettes and replaces with empties.
• Performs table games drop pulls: collects cash or poker-chip drop boxes and replaces with empties.
• Participates in float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines and ATMs.
• Performs cash/coin collections for Pull Tab, Keno and vending machines where applicable.
• Counts and reconciles monies from slot machines, tables and vending machines.
• Prepares daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries, Food & Beverage and Table Games.
• Verifies money delivered from bank or vending machines.
• Prepares cash/coin floats for specific stations.
• Replenishes Pull Tab machines and ensures proper machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls: collects cash/ticket cassettes from all electronic gaming machines and, where applicable, replaces with empty cash/ticket cassettes.
• Performs table games drop pulls: collects cash or poker-chip drop boxes from all table games and, where applicable, replaces with empty drop boxes.
• Participates in the float preparation, loading and unloading of ticket redemption machines and, where applicable, ATMs and NRTs.
• Performs Pull Tab machine, Keno machine, and vending machine cash and coin collections.(at applicable sites)
• Counts and reconciles monies collected from slot machines, poker tables, and, where applicable, table games Pull Tab machines, Keno machines and vending machines.
• Prepares daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries, Food and Beverage and Table Games (as applicable).
• Verifies and reconciles money delivered from the bank or a vending machine company.
• Prepares cash and coin floats for specific stations (e.g. Food and Beverage; Guest Services).
• Replenishes Pull Tab machines. (at applicable sites)Ensures and documents proper Machine Maintenance.
