Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a Cashier/Guest Services associate at Starlight Casino. The role involves retrieving, sorting, counting, and reconciling daily cash and coin receipts from various areas within the facility, and preparing deposits for daily revenues in a precise, secure manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, be reliable and punctual, and able to operate cash counting machines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls and collects cash/ticket cassettes.
• Performs table games drop pulls and replaces with empty drop boxes.
• Participates in float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines.
• Counts and reconciles monies from machines and games.
• Prepares daily deposits for relevant revenue streams.
• Verifies money from banks or vending companies and reconciles discrepancies.
• Maintains cash/coin floats for specific stations and ensures machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs slot machine drop pulls: collects cash/ticket cassettes from all electronic gaming machines and, where applicable, replaces with empty cash/ticket cassettes.
• Performs table games drop pulls: collects cash or poker-chip drop boxes from all table games and, where applicable, replaces with empty drop boxes.
• Participates in the float preparation, loading and unloading of ticket redemption machines and, where applicable, ATMs and NRTs.
• Performs Pull Tab machine, Keno machine, and vending machine cash and coin collections.(at applicable sites)
• Counts and reconciles monies collected from slot machines, poker tables, and, where applicable, table games Pull Tab machines, Keno machines and vending machines.
• Prepares daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries, Food and Beverage and Table Games (as applicable).
• Verifies and reconciles money delivered from the bank or a vending machine company.
• Prepares cash and coin floats for specific stations (e.g. Food and Beverage; Guest Services).
• Replenishes Pull Tab machines. (at applicable sites)Ensures and documents proper Machine Maintenance.
