Job Description
The driver is responsible for driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) as well as packing, moving, and safely transporting household goods, office furniture, and other heavy items while providing outstanding customer service to all TWO MEN AND A TRUCK customers. The driver should have general knowledge of functional support areas, including the core business, customer service, and moving.
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as the physical point of contact for new and existing customers, establishing rapport and building confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK services.
- Makes recommendations based on customer needs regarding moving services, boxes, supplies, and equipment; may suggest alternative services or products considering cost, availability, or customer specifications.
- Obtains customer feedback throughout the move to ensure satisfaction and proactively resolve complaints.
- Handles dissatisfied customers calmly and professionally, providing timely feedback to management about customer concerns.
- Keeps customers and management informed of delays and other relevant information to enhance satisfaction and profitability.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all company products, services, pricing, and promotions to communicate value and address customer objections effectively.
- Performs Schedule 1 daily truck inspections and maintains an accurate daily logbook.
- Calculates charges for services accurately and completes all move-related paperwork, ensuring proper handling of paperwork and revenues collected.
- Safely moves, packs, and unpacks customer belongings using appropriate equipment and techniques, following prescribed policies.
- Organizes and secures the truck at the end of each job, maintaining cleanliness and safety of the truck and equipment.
- Conducts pre/post trip truck inspections and inventory of moving equipment.
- Wears a clean, approved TWO MEN AND A TRUCK uniform at all times.
- Maintains a positive image through proper hygiene.
- Ensures compliance with policies outlined in the employee handbook and directives from management.
- Participates in regular training programs offered through STICK MEN UNIVERSITY to enhance knowledge.
- Performs other duties as assigned by franchisee, general manager, move manager, or office manager.

- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicating effectively and friendly with co-workers, customers, and management
- Ability to instruct others regarding moving and packing strategies and techniques
- Knowledge of Provincial and Federal driving requirements, rules, and regulations
- Physical strength and agility to load items into trucks and maintain balance

- Minimum age of 25 years (depending on insurance requirements) and at least one year of driving experience; six months of experience with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK or in the moving industry preferred
- Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Mathematical skills for handling calculations involving currency, weight, volume, distance, and time
- Reasoning skills for solving practical problems and interpreting various instructions
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, talking, sitting, hearing, handling, feeling, and lifting (occasionally over 100 pounds). Visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, with the ability to focus as needed.
