Job summary

Air Liquide in Fort St. John, BC, is hiring a P&D Driver to provide safe, efficient, prompt delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies, with some yard and warehouse duties.

The role requires a Class 3 license with air brakes, 2 years of delivery experience and customer service skills, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive pay of $26.07–$32.58 per hour plus cost-of-living and northern living allowances.

Qualifications

• Valid class 3 license with air brakes and a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years delivery experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies.
• Picks up empty cylinders as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks with other team members and ensures trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations.
• Complete warehouse and yard work as required.
• Plan daily routes by dispatched loads, travel to sites, pick up empties and unload on return.
• Maintain truck and equipment appearance and general maintenance.

The main objective and purpose of this position consist in providing safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gases, while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives. Pay range - $26.07 - $ $32.58 / hourly rate + Cost of living allowance + Northern Living Allowance

Key responsibilities

• Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and/or welding supplies.
• Picks up empty cylinders as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks with other team members and ensures trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations.
• Complete warehouse and yard work as required.
• Pick your own load of cylinders, plan out your day based on items dispatched for you, drive to required sites, pick up empties then offload trucks upon return.
• Ensures that maintenance and general appearance of the truck and all equipment used in the performance of his/her duties are properly

Preferred Qualifications:
