Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality service and transportation with compassion, professionalism, and care.

Essential Functions/Duties
  1. Transport bodies between homes, hospitals, accident scenes, and medical examiner facilities promptly.
  2. Use maps to locate hospitals, medical facilities, and residences.
  3. Complete Trip Sheets daily, recording each transport accurately.
  4. Maintain the vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
  5. Use standard radio transmission codes.
  6. Complete mechanical checklists at the start of each shift and report issues to the Fleet Manager.
  7. Follow all company policies and procedures, including information systems security policies.
  8. Work safely around others, including extended hours, hazardous conditions, and exposure to human excrement and body fluids.
  9. Manage disposable supplies and maintain durable equipment.
  10. Operate equipment such as stretchers, hydraulic lifts, wheelchairs, and radios.
  11. Read maps to locate hospitals and medical facilities.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, mortuary, or medical examiner's office preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License and CPR card.
Working Conditions and Requirements

Physical Demands: Must pass a Physical Agility Test, have good stamina, endurance, and physical condition to walk, stand, lift, and carry equipment.

Mental Requirements: Critical thinking skills, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
