Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional Class 1 Truck Driver to join our Transportation team in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 1 commercial vehicle to transport metal materials, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Completing long-haul trips to Côte-Nord, Bas-Saint-Laurent, and Montreal
• Safely operating a 4-axle truck
• Operating various trailers such as dump, pot, and carcass trailers
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials and securing loads during transit
• Performing manual tarping if necessary
• Routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Accurate record-keeping of deliveries and documentation
• Adhering to safety and driving regulations
• Providing excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 FM driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating a manual transmission (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 truck driver
• Customer service orientation with strong communication skills
• Good physical stamina for loading/unloading activities
• Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials (asset)
• Experience with roll-off trucks (asset)
• Physically fit and safety-conscious
• Reliable, punctual, and respectful of equipment
