Job Overview

Location: Bolton, ON L7E 4G2
Salary: $27.50 hourly / 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning, Night, Overtime, Weekend
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Job Description:
On the road job. Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  2. Load and unload goods
  3. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  4. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  5. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  6. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  7. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  8. Transport and handle dangerous goods
Experience and Specialization
  • Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports
  • Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer

Security and Safety:
Valid passport, Bondable, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam
