Location: The Salvation Army, Gastonia, NC

Pay Range: $10.48/hr to $13.10/hr

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for:

Key responsibilities:

• Pick up food from various vendors
• Assist in handing out food on food pantry days
• Drive carefully, complying with traffic signs and weather conditions

What we are looking for in you:

• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to sort and determine the suitability of food and donated items

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Duties involve sitting, standing, lifting, and walking, often changing positions.

Moderate physical effort is required, including walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) frequently.

Work is typically performed in a food pantry environment, with some physical discomforts related to weather conditions, noise, dust, dirt, and similar factors, excluding driving conditions.
