Tasks

1. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
2. Load and unload goods.
3. Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
4. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
5. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
6. Secure cargo with tarps and ensure safety and security of cargo.
