Full-time Shift(s): MON, TUE, WED, THU, SUN 2:00am - 2:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to join our transportation team. As a Full-time Driver (DOT - CDL), you will represent our fleet by delivering from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained, late-model tractor trailer or straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, by warehouse employees prior to departure, and you will be responsible for unloading freight at each stop along your route, which typically includes 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may change periodically based on company needs. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize a handheld scanner
• Unload product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or forklift
• Provide excellent service to branches and customers by delivering products promptly and efficiently
• Interact with shipping and receiving departments
• Maintain a clean work environment and equipment
• Keep work area organized and clean
• Inspect and report equipment defects or issues
• Comply with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations
• Follow health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participate in activities and programs supporting health, safety, and sustainability goals
• Complete environmental health and safety training programs

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess or be in the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
• Possess a current Health Card or ability to obtain one
• Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam)
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations regarding CDL drivers
• Maintain DOT regulated Hours-of-Service
• Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs.
• Successfully complete required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification, and background check

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior driving experience
• Experience operating a forklift
