Job summary

PartSource in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking a Driver to deliver automotive parts to our commercial customers, ensuring timely, safe service and upholding the PartSource brand through excellent customer interactions.

You will perform deliveries and pickups, verify part numbers against invoices, conduct daily vehicle inspections, and follow PPE and safety guidelines. The role includes flexible shifts, competitive hourly pay, and benefits offered by the employer within the Canadian Tire family.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to sit up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience with automotive parts aftermarket is an asset.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out customer deliveries and pickups of automotive parts using a company vehicle.
• Validate the accuracy of deliveries by cross-checking part numbers with customer invoices.
• Provide exceptional customer service through efficient and friendly delivery operations.
• Conduct daily inspections of company vehicles, reporting any necessary repairs to uphold safety standards.
• Follow the store\'s loss prevention procedures while assisting in warehouse and retail area organization.
• Uphold a safe work environment, including adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Comply with the Motor Vehicle Safety Act and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver\'s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Availability to work flexible shifts throughout the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Familiarity with using protective equipment, including mandatory certified safety shoes (supplied upon hire), and as required, safety glasses, reflective safety vest, gloves, and apron.
• Knowledge and experience in automotive parts aftermarket is an asset.

Our typical hiring range is between $16.75 and $19.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
