Job summary

Dooley’s Trucking in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking a delivery driver to join our courier team. You will deliver and pick up messages, parcels and items by hand, operate vans and light trucks, and provide professional customer service to our clients.

Requirements include a valid Class 5/5F/G license, a clean driving record, and ability to work locally. Work hours are 40–45 per week with overtime available. Benefits include health and group insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
• Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences or assemblies.
• Load and unload goods.
• Sort packages for delivery.
• Use maps and trip planning aids.
• Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee vehicle operations.
