P&H Foods Inc. is a Canadian, family-owned agribusiness with operations across Canada, and we are passionate about eggs! We are looking for egg enthusiasts for a Casual - Occasional position in Abbotsford, BC.

Formación

• Class 1 Driver's License with air brake endorsement (must be current)
• Skilled at backing up and manoeuvring 35–53 ft trailers
• English literacy and basic math skills
• Grade 12 education preferred
• Forklift/pallet jack experience is an asset, training provided

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all functions of the vehicle, including condition, equipment, loading/unloading, and safety of the load
• Check the reefer temperature before leaving the yard
• Maintain vehicle upkeep and report issues
• Observe safety and traffic laws while operating the vehicle
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and interactions with customers
• Handle paperwork and materials, including invoices and delivery records
• Load/unload trailers and manage Returns storage
• Assist co-workers as needed
• Ensure food safety issues are communicated to the Transportation Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all functions of the vehicle, such as condition of the vehicle, equipment, and materials, loading and unloading, and safety and security of the load


• Check the reefer temperature to ensure the functionality of the refrigeration system before leaving the yard


• Maintain the general upkeep and care of the vehicle and report any maintenance/operating problems


• Observe all safety, traffic, and criminal laws and regulations while operating a company vehicle


• Maintain standards of professionalism, both in appearance and in interactions with customers and the public in general


• Maintain paperwork and materials, correctly handling bills and product being delivered


• Adjust paperwork and ensure changes are forwarded on for correction


• Load and unload trailers, properly storing product left in trailers when there are returns


• Pick up and return empty baskets and racks at stores and warehouse


• Ensuring all food safety issues are communicated with the Transportation Supervisor


• Responsible for ensuring invoices match product delivered or to revise paperwork to reflect correct amounts


• Complete Food Service Drivers sales report


• Responsible for accurate paperwork, completed time sheets, and trip logs


• Responsible for materials including baskets, racks, and for the safe handling of product and equipment


• Assist co-workers where and when needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Class 1 Driver's License with air brake endorsement. License must be current and driving record must be acceptable

• Must be skilled at backing up and manoeuvring 35 foot - 53 foot tandem axle trailers into difficult and constricted areas


• Previous warehouse experience an asset

• Grade 12 education preferred

• Forklift and/or pallet jack experiencewould be an asset, but training is provided once on the job

• Able to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math skills
