Purpose of the Position

As a Driver - Car Compound, you will support the St. Luc Auto Compound and perform related duties as required.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify work cards to driver number.
  2. Conduct visual inspections of assigned vehicles and ensure proper stocking.
  3. Load and unload railcars on designated tracks and parking zones.
  4. Pick up team members and unload railcars until all are empty.
  5. Maintain work instructions from the Supervisor.
  6. Work with team members to open railcar doors and install bridge-plates.
  7. Unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars.
  8. Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Physical endurance for daily work.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
