PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Join as a Driver - Car Compound, contributing significantly to our St Luc Auto Compound. Be part of a dedicated team ensuring smooth car compound operations and achieving outstanding results. As the Driver - Car Compound, you will transport materials between the compound and the train, along with safely loading and unloading railcars.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure all work cards are identified to driver number
• Conduct visual inspection of assigned vehicle and ensure the vehicle is properly stocked for the day's work
• Load and unload railcars on designated tracks, and within designated parking zones
• Work with team members to unload railcars on the track
• Maintain work instructions generated by Supervisor
• Work in accordance with team members to open railcar doors and install bridge-plates between railcars
• Unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars on the track

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general equivalency required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions; this job is 100% outdoor work
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to sustain physical work daily
• Weekend and holiday work is required

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Medical and Drug Testing

This is a safety-sensitive position. A successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post-hire drug testing may also be required.
