Qualifications

Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for safe and timely pickup and delivery of vehicles within Canada and the US. Duties include vehicle inspections; loading and offloading car carrier; timely and accurate completion of daily logs, fuel, mileage and run sheets, while providing exceptional customer service at all times.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and unload cars, trucks and vans as required.
  • Responsible for pickups and deliveries through the designated locations (local, inter-provincial and US).
  • Prepare condition reports and verify orders for accuracy, ensure the client has signed all electronic applications or necessary documents.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
  • Report to Dispatch on a daily basis for loads and instructions, maintain regular communication with Dispatch to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Maintain an electronic log and other applications associated with the position.
  • Follow all Hours of Service regulations.
  • Follow all speed and traffic regulations.
  • Report damages to cargo and truck immediately to the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.
