Job Description
The driver is responsible for driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) as well as packing, moving, and safely transporting household goods, office furniture, and other heavy items while providing outstanding customer service to all TWO MEN AND A TRUCK customers. The driver should have general knowledge of functional support areas, including the core business, customer service, and moving.
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as the physical point of contact for new and existing customers, establishing rapport and building confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK services.
- Makes recommendations based on customer needs for moving services, boxes, supplies, equipment, and other value-added services; may suggest alternative services or products considering cost, availability, or customer specifications.
- Obtains customer feedback throughout the move to ensure satisfaction and proactively resolves any complaints.
- Handles dissatisfied customers professionally and provides timely feedback to management regarding customer concerns.
- Informs customers and management of delays and additional information needed to improve satisfaction and profitability.
- Maintains thorough understanding of all company products, services, pricing, and promotions to effectively communicate benefits and address objections.
- Performs Schedule 1 daily truck inspections and maintains an accurate daily logbook.
- Calculates charges for services accurately, completes all move-related paperwork, and ensures proper handling of paperwork and revenue collection at the end of the workday.
- Safely moves, packs, and unpacks customer belongings using proper equipment and techniques, following prescribed policies.
- Organizes and secures the truck at the end of each job, maintaining cleanliness and safety of truck and equipment.
- Conducts pre- and post-trip truck inspections and inventory of moving equipment.
- Wears a clean, approved TWO MEN AND A TRUCK uniform at all times.
- Maintains a positive image through proper hygiene.
- Ensures compliance with company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and/or directives from management.
- Participates in training and development programs through STICK MEN UNIVERSITY.
- Performs other duties as assigned by franchisee, general manager, move manager, or office manager.

- Excellent customer service skills.

- Ability to discuss moving/packing strategies and techniques with team members.
- Capability to direct others' work when necessary.
- Knowledge of Provincial and Federal driving requirements, rules, and regulations.
- Physical strength and agility to load and carry items, with good balance.

- Minimum age of 25 years, with at least one year of driving experience; six months of experience with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK or in the moving industry preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication.
- Mathematical skills to perform basic operations with currency, weight, volume, distance, and time.
- Reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, talking, sitting, hearing, handling, feeling, and lifting; capable of lifting 100 pounds or more; good vision is required.
