Job summary

MEDA Engineering & Technical Services is seeking an experienced Design Release Engineer to join our automotive-focused team in Windsor, Ontario. The role involves design, development, and validation of transmissions and driveline components, with hybrid work (1–2 days in office) and opportunities to collaborate across CAE, NVH, durability, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• At least 2 years in driveline, transmission, or vehicle systems.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive activities to completion.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and drivetrain fundamentals.
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Willingness to travel to the USA starting date.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and validation of transmissions and driveline components.
• Coordinate design release activities with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with CAE, NVH, durability, and manufacturing for integration.
• Support validation activities and testing deliverables.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
• Prepare design reviews and technical reports.
• Create and maintain DFMEA and DVP documents.
• Mentor other engineers and promote best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
